ALONGSIDE YOU ... HOLDING HOPE

Welcome to my site, where you can find out a little bit more about me.

In finding your way here, you may or not have already experienced a potentially daunting and overwhelming journey in finding a therapist that feels right for you.

Whatever your experience, you should recognise the importance of taking these first steps

Soaring above the clouds

ABOUT ME

I am a BACP registered integrative counsellor and psychotherapist.

I believe there are many therapeutic approaches to support people with their difficulties, with the right way depending on the person, and their situation at that point in time.

I feel passionate in offering each client a bespoke and creative approach to therapy, to celebrate the uniqueness of individual experience and diversity.

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold — a metaphor for embracing your flaws and imperfections.

SUPPORTING YOU

There are many reasons why you may be exploring counselling. My role is to be alongside you in what you are feeling, providing a safe, empathetic, non-judgemental space, and to enable us to build a trusting relationship where we can, at your pace, explore your feelings and difficulties.

Previous clients I’ve supported have been experiencing a range of challenges including:

  • Bereavement & Loss

  • Domestic Abuse

  • Relationship struggles

  • Mid life issues

  • Sexual dysfunction

  • Stress with juggling life commitments

  • Anxiety or depression

  • Childhood Trauma

  • Identity issues

  • Low mood

  • Hopelessness

  • Anger

  • Low sense of worth

These things may not apply to you at all, many people seek counselling to increase their awareness and understanding of themselves; possibly to even discover what their sense of self is.

Often people can be uncertain why they are feeling the way they are, feeling stuck, finding it difficult or impossible to think, let alone navigate a way forwards.  You may or may not be surrounded by supportive family and friends, but somehow feel lonely and isolated in the way you are feeling.

Making the commitment to engage with therapy has the potential to discover new ways to approach or face challenging feelings and situations that will support and promote your overall well-being.
