GET TO KNOW ME
I am a BACP registered relational integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. I hold an MA in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy from University of Roehampton. I adhere to the BACP Ethical Standards.

I believe there are many therapeutic approaches to support people with their difficulties, with the right way depending on the person, and their situation at that point in time.
I draw upon a range of different therapeutic approaches within my practice:
-
Humanistic - which aims to increase self-awareness, seeking to support you in identifying and overcoming any blocks you may be experiencing;
-
Psychodynamic - seeking to understand how your present feelings and actions are influenced through past experiences and the unconscious mind;
-
Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) - which explores how your thoughts and beliefs may impact upon your current feelings and actions, striving to develop coping strategies and change negative thinking patterns.
I feel passionate in offering each client a bespoke and creative approach to therapy, to celebrate the uniqueness of individual experience and diversity.

As a counsellor I have extensive experience of working within the NHS covering a wide range of short-term support needs. I have also worked within a specialist bereavement service for the last 2 years.
Prior to becoming a counsellor, I worked in both the statutory and charity sectors, supporting both adults and children who have found themselves experiencing crisis and trauma; spending a number of years working as a qualified Advocate (OCNLR Level 3). I have particular knowledge and experience of those impacted by the criminal justice system and domestic abuse.
